Build a custom layout on the 2N IP Style’s display

You could design your own graphical interface for the 2N IP Style for some time, specifically from the 2N OS version 2.37 - however, it had some limitations. You needed to code the programme yourself, and you had to have an uninterrupted connection to the server/computer that the program was running on.

Now, you can forget about all that – thanks to the new version of 2N OS 2.44 ! Create a layout that is clear and tailored for all users who interact with it.

Build the layout directly in the intercom web interface

The UI builder ‘2N Flexi Layout’ is now part of the 2N IP Style’s web interface. The feature is still in beta status, but it’s up and running and we’d like you to use it and give us your feedback. 

Please note that you need a gold licence for this feature.

How to start using it? 

1. First, run the feature after logging in to the web interface of the 2N IP Style: System -> Features -> press ‘Start’ (next to the GUI Customization feature)
2. Restart the device after: System -> Maintenance -> press ‘Restart Device’
3. After enabling the feature, simply go to Hardware -> Display -> Click ‘Open UI Builder’ and create your custom layout
4. Once ready go to Hardware -> Display -> Display GUI Mode -> change from Standard to Custom 

What can you design in the 2N Flexi Layout?

• The number of buttons on the page
• The colour of the buttons – choose from white, gold, and ‘glass’ (a semi-transparent grey)
• The text on the buttons
• The icon/image on the button – select from a gallery of icons including handset, phonebook, warning signs, and so on
• Required action after pressing the button – it can: 
   
  • Make a call to a user from the directory
  • Start WaveKey authentication
  • Go to a different page – either a predefined one (Directory, PIN enter, QR reader reading, home page, and so on) or your own custom page that you can create in the 2N Flexi Layout GUI builder
  • Send an HTTP request – you can trigger automation in the intercom or use it for integration with other systems. This means that you can perform actions such as turning on the light or calling the elevator
  • Do nothing 
• Change the background to any colour or image
• Create a page with your own picture – you can use this page to provide users with more information such as showing maps to visitors, giving instructions to delivery personnel, or displaying company information
